First Grade
First graders are creating a class book about each of the fabulous first grade GEP students, Today was Nora's day to be interviewed by her fellow classmates. Be on the lookout for a class book in a backpack at your house in a few weeks.
A note was sent home on how to join SeeSaw. This will be the way we can communicate and for you to see your child's work.
Third Grade
Third Grade GEP students are learning about their Multiple Intelligences. After taking an online survey and discovering the results, they are writing an opinion paragraph that explains why they feel the results were correct or incorrect. They will be utilizing Google Classroom and are writing the paragraph on Google Docs.
Second Grade
Second grade GEP students in Mrs. Wolf's class are learning how to create on the iPad. They are writing Identity Poems and illustrating them. To read your child's poem, log onto SeeSaw. All have been uploaded. A note was sent home on how to join SeeSaw. This will be the way wewill communicate and for you to see your child's work.
Second Semester
Fourth Nine Weeks

First graders are creating stop motion animation videos to show the needs of a plant. First, they selected a plant and researched the life cycle and needs. Next, they created all the props. Finally, they filmed their stop motion video. Look for the final products on SeeSaw.
Third Grade
Students have built their robots and are programing them to complete various challenges. Check out their SeeSaw posts to see their robots in action.
First Grade
First grade is exploring the world of plants. They planted basil.
Second Grade
Math fun using the apps SET, 24, Quick Math and Count Money.
Third Grade
Third graders are learning Algebra through Hands On Equations.
First Grade
First graders are learning how to use the app PicCollage. They are creating a poster about themselves. Look for their finished products in SeeSaw next week.
Second Grade
Second graders are beginning to build and program the WeDoRobotics Kits. They are also working on the Hour of Code. There are some awesome programmers. Thanks PTA for the fabulous carpet!!
Third Grade
Third graders are beginning to build and program the Mindstorm NXT. They are creating kinetic sculptures and programming them to move with the NXT motor. Look for their videos being uploaded to SeeSaw.
First graders are researching about their favorite dinosaur, writing a script and creating a Telligami to share their knowledge. They love using the retro phones to help record. The finished products are posted to SeeSaw.

Third graders are working on their final NXT Mindstorm Challenge. Videos of their final efforts will be uploaded to SeeSaw. We have some awesome builders and programmers!!
Second Grade
Second graders are working on WeDoRobotics 2.0 and coding. They are uploading videos to SeeSaw to demonstrate how to program and build with the WeDo Kits.
First Grade
I am thrilled to be working with our fabulous first graders. Currently we are working on choice boards to get to know one another.
Fluor Challenge
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/fluor-challenge
Second graders are using limited materials to build a simple ball launcher and receiver. They are applying their knowledge of force and motion.
Second Grade GEP
The second grade GEP students are excited to by using the WeDoRobotics2.0. Thank you to all the parents that donated to this on DonorsChoose! They are building and programming the robots to complete science challenges.
Third Grade Enrichment
Students are working together to design and build containers to deliver lollipops to their Valentine by use of a zip line.
Second Grade Enrichment
Students are creating digital Valentines. The QR code will take the viewer to the saved digital Valentine with a special audio message.
Second Grade GEP
Second graders are learning about force and motion. They are starting their unit by creating Marble Runs. They have four criteria for their creation.
1. The marble is moving for 5 seconds.
2. The marble changes speed.
3. The marble changes direction.
4. The marble lands in the dishpan.
Videos of the finished run will be uploaded to SeeSaw.
